Integration, Innovation and Inspiration—Creating a Health New Mexico
The 2012 Joint Conference of the New Mexico Public Health Association and New Mexico CARES Health Disparities Center will bring together disparities researchers, health service providers, public health practitioners and community members from across the country and across the state. Co-hosted by the UNM Hospital Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, the Clinical and Translational Science Center, Vision 20/20, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Center for Health Policy, UNM Cancer Center and the UNM Health Sciences Center presentations and keynote speakers will highlight the concepts of integration, innovation and inspiration.
Integration: Intersection of practice and policy in creating health equity
What examples in your work demonstrate how to transform health disparities research into practice and policy? What examples offer innovations to reduce health disparities, provide new insights to ongoing and emerging health disparities-related research and practice, and/or increase health equity in New Mexico communities?

Innovation: Dynamic approaches to creating a healthy New Mexico
What new, different and/or changing methods and practices are you and/or your group using the make positive changes in the health of New Mexicans? We are looking for speakers with new, innovative ideas to participate in breakout sessions or to share ideas in one of the available 5-10 minute TED-style Talks.
Inspiration: Motivating ideas to energize public health work and practice
Day 3 will be filled with speakers, entertainment, and networking opportunities. We are looking for exhibitors from community groups, advocacy organizations, educational programs, and small businesses to inform and energize public health workers. Information and guidelines for exhibitors is below.

Please note: Presenters will be responsible for paying conference registration fees. If you organize a session with several people, you are responsible for informing your co-presenters that they need to register for the conference.
